About Andy & Michelle - the owners
Andy and Michelle Knevelbaard have over 30 years experience working with pets. Together we have worked hands on with every type of pet you can imagine. Since 1989, Andy has worked in pet stores and taken care of fish aquariums for many businesses and residents in Amarillo. Michelle has trained dogs professionally since 1996. After years of consideration we decided to open a store of our own and that lead to Animal Lodge in 2006. The business has been a blessing from the Lord. We love to get to know our customers and their precious pets.
Andy and I were married on August 26,2000. We have two children, Nicolas who is 9 and Eliana who is 2. Over the years we have had many dogs including a boxer, doberman, bernese mountian dog, a springer spaniel and a chihuahua but currently we have two dogs: a mini Poodle named Bosley and a French Bulldog named Birtie Botts. We also have a cat named Mau, a canary named Barron, two guniea pigs named Checkers and Clue and 5 hens! We enjoy spending time with our family. We have a passion for holistic living.
